An all-original mix: twenty-four of her own tracks, from her first half-time experiments to the drum & bass and electro she makes now.
The mix is put together from my own work, and in it I turn to the themes of personal experiences, loneliness, melancholy. This has been close to me since my school years.
The mix reflects my whole path in electronic dance music. Five years ago I knew nothing about it and started recording experimental half-time: those tracks play at the beginning and at the end of the selection. Today I focus more on modern drum & bass and electro sound, which makes up the middle part of the mix.
At 15 I fell in love with extreme kinds of metal: black, death, funeral doom. These genres have a dark or pensive mood, and that is what I pursue in my music.
I usually start tracks with an idea: a melody or, more often, vocal samples with meaningful phrases. The meaning of a track is important to me, so the sound design, the rhythm and even the titles are also built around the original idea.
I don't want my music to be superficial.
Sometimes making music becomes agonizing, when for a long time I can't dial in the sounds I need or develop an idea. It often seems that the project is total crap :) What helps me not give up is plain stubbornness (that's how more than half of the tracks in the mix "survived"). What inspires me, as a rule, is the overall meaning of a track and its emotional message. For inspiration I watch tutorials and podcasts by my favourite producers.
